Wow what a week 1 of the playoffs! The match-ups did not go the way most people expected!
Marshall Law vs Team Bombien – Mark’s team looked very strong going into the playoffs but got let down when Rawls went down early and weak performances from normal studs. He fell to Erick who limped into the playoffs after started the season undefeated. Erick is looking good going into round 2 with a healthy Gronk. The question will be can he keep starting Big Ben over Fitzmagic?
Favre 4ever Purple vs T-Mobile – In a similar tale Kevin lost his studly Red Rocket immediately. It has to be tough to make the playoffs and then lose your QB minutes into the first game. I mean REALLY hard. I probably wouldn’t be able to sleep. Especially when you end up losing by the average amount of points Andy Dalton has scored week to week. Not that I am trying to make Kevin feel worse. Also not to take anything away from Weber. His team is very healthy. AP is looking like he is 25 and his namesake T-Mobile is finally healthy and playing well for him. He goes into the 2nd round with a fully healthy squad which is VERY rare.
Not My Forte vs Ace Boogie – On the other side of the bracket we see a Canadian take down Dan (formerly known as Ace Boogie). Let me share a little inside information, Dan was NOT happy. There was a lot of ill will heading his way toward Al, I wouldn’t be surprised if Al ended up slamming his hand through a receipt spike again from all the bad vibes Dan sent his way. Lots of talk about the league drafting his team and Al sharing his winning amongst the league. However, if we look at the game, perhaps Dan should be mad at the man in the mirror. How far did he think Buck Allen could take him? Picking up trash and relying on it in the playoffs is always the recipe for failure. In Dan’s defense an aging Calvin Johnson and a Injury to Blount did let him down pretty hard. Al will be thanking the Poutine gods and taking celebratory selfies in the mirror all week heading into week 2. Other then JStew being questionable, his squad is pretty healthy. Even Edelman may come back for him at just the right time.
Bye Week vs It’s All Luck – Finally we have the buzzsaw known as Jon taking on Craig. Jon’s team could not be hotter right now. Putting up a monstrous 141 points in an otherwise average to down scoring week. Criag just really could not keep up with his 88 point effort despite no Luck (pun intended) and no true RB2.
Don’t forget THERE ARE NO MORE PICKUPS so please stop trying. I hate going in and reversing pick ups when I could be drinking.
Also do not forget to keep trying even if you lost. Draft order is on the line!!!
